January 2025 - Japanese Shrine.

A close friend and I decided to go exploring new worlds, we had the idea to explore locations from real places, and the first one on the list of worlds was a Japanese shrine. Japan is on my bucket list to explore in real life, so I was happy to see something culturally significant up close in VR.

I do think we stuck out, though. As soon as we arrived, we noticed how everyone else in the world only spoke Japanese (Duh, right?) and as we spoke to each other about what we were seeing, we started to feel like we were being watched. Some would follow us, some would stop talking and stare, and we wondered if perhaps we had offended someone, or perhaps joined a Japanese only world.

At one point, a Mickey Mouse followed us into a house and threatened us with a gun. This is not something I ever expected to see at a Japanese shrine. I do hope this doesn't happen in real life, lol.
